The vision and plan for Church and buildings

Needs

There is a strong sense that the current buildings do not serve the needs of the church and community well, this is due to access, layout of rooms, heating and maintence costs etc.

There is a sense that a far reaching plan on buildings is needed.

The Church desires to grow more in fellowship and mission.

We need to look at the following

1.What is our area of mission in terms of geography, people and issues to impact?

2.What are the needs, potentials and opportunities locally?

3.What does mission mean to the church?

4.What are the important parts of our church life?

5.What is going on at the moment?

6.What would people like to see happening?

7.What have been the positive and challenging experiences in the church?

8.How does the building work well or badly?

9.What are the costs of and income from the building?

10.What would you like the church to look like in ten years?

A working group has been set up to come up with ideas about the uses for the building and consists of the following:

Katherine Lumb

Austin Crowther

Andy Empsall

William Swift

Geoff Robertshaw

Francis Mitchell
